  1. Semiconductor materials, quantum confining structures, visible lasers
  2. Review of semiconductor physics, many-body and correlation effects
  3. Incorporation of many-body theory into semiconductors: bandstructure,
    gain, index dynamics
  4. Overview of semiconductor laser properties: high power, vertical cavity
    devices, feedback
  5. Laser dynamics and nonlinear properties, propagation modeling, patterns

Course Information:

Limited seating of 40 people means that applications will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis.
School Registration Fee: 250 I.R. punts.

Accommodation: Your Summer School payment will reserve a student residence for you.
The balance of 82 I.R punts is due upon arrival for the period August 29 - September 6.
August/September is high tourist season so accommodation must be booked well in advance.
